We live in a competitive global economy. To prepare our students to meet these demands, we base our curriculum on Arizona’s state standards. We’re proud of the legacy of academic excellence Show Low has built over the years. Our innovative approach to education recognizes all of our students’ needs and desires and offers a variety of learning paths to help them reach their goals. In addition to mastering core subjects, we offer students opportunities in Advanced Placement (AP) and dual credit courses, as well as career and technical courses.
Graduation requirements at Show Low are more strenuous than those dictated by the state and better prepare our students for life after high school—whether that be in college or as a skilled worker. Please take a few moments to review our requirements with your student so that he/she can have a full understanding of the path to graduation.
We offer students at Show Low High School the opportunity to earn college credit while they are still in high school! These credits, from Northland Pioneer College, are available for free and could reduce the number of college hours students needs for a degree. Eligible students must complete and return a Notification of Intent and verify course availability with their counselor. Show Low High School awards ½ credit for every three semester hours of successfully completed college credit.
Northern Arizona Vocational Institute of Technology offers a scholarship program to SLHS juniors and seniors interested in vocational training. NAVIT programs are rigorous and will require commitment. Students should not plan on trying to maintain high extracurricular involvement.
