Career and Technical Education
Career and Technical Education (CTE) prepares students to enter the workforce immediately after graduation or to pursue further education at a community college or university. We combine classroom instruction with work-based learning experiences and personal leadership development to help ensure a dynamic workforce for the future.
Our twelve local programs help provide students with the skills (both academic and occupational) and knowledge essential for workforce success and informed economic decision making in today’s society. All local CTE programs start in the 10th grade. Freshmen students are encouraged to take Freshman Academy to help them prepare to meet the challenges of career education.
NAVIT Central programs are off campus and are available to juniors and seniors who qualify. Local and NAVIT programs offer students the opportunity to receive industry recognized credentials that help students show attainment of valuable, in-demand workplace skills.

Architectural Drafting
Architectural Drafting transforms a person's concept into a blueprint that trained craftsmen can use to construct a building. The drawing, often referred to as a draft, contains measurements, floor layouts, and other crucial details that contractors will need to build your home. Buildings, both residential and commercial, are designed using drafts. These days, they are made by professionals who are proficient in the programs using computer-aided design software. A career in architectural drafting may be the appropriate choice for you if you have an interest in architecture and are proficient with computers..
